Biography

J. Tim Raymond, educated at the Cooper Union in New York City, has been working and showing since the 1970s.
His work has been included in the collections of several Fortune 500 companies, and major galleries throughout the east coast.
He writes regularly for ArtVoice.
As a practicing painter, my skills of painting are in setting a representative scene in the still life, landscape or figurative composition. By working the surface, I hope to achieve an adjustment of scale, light, density, into a presence of the imagined form continues until there is the essence of the intended images. I use oils on prepared grounds, also acrylics and printmaking inks, and sketch daily.”
