Work Experience
2008 Marked 10 years as care unit art specialist at skilled nursing facilities in Erie and Niagara County. WNYDDSO chose consumer from People Inc. 4286 day skills program as winner in DD day logo competition (also winners in day hab units in 2001 and 2004).
2007 Partnered with Veterans Affairs Department volunteers distributing bookmarks and note pads for Memorial Day and Veterans Day at Veterans Hospital.
2006 Organized a solo exhibition of artwork by a longtime consumer in the “Seniors Unlimited” program in conjunction with Starlight Gallery.
2004 Organized a benefit auction of artwork by a gifted dementia consumer in conjunction with People Inc Foundation.
2003 Changed full time job description to include daily sessions working with MRDD populations at various day treatment, day habilitation sites within the People Inc agency. Continued working with dementia program and senior MRDD consumers.
2000 Worked with Friends of the UB Department of Architecture and Planning to promote consumer artwork for display and sale at Market Arcade site “Roam Buffalo” specialty shop, specific to Pan American Centennial Exposition.

Worked with MRDD and seniors in groups and individually at six different sites. Organized and facilitated regularly scheduled agency art activities for day care, day habilitation facilities.

1997-1998 Worked with Legacy Caregiver Group (Portland OR) on traveling exhibitions in San Diego, New York and Washington DC.
